Robin Uthappa played a brilliant inning of 88 runs in 50 balls, which included 9 sixes and four fours. This was the best score of Uthappa’s IPL career. Uthappa was caught by Wanindu Hasaranga at the hands of Virat Kohli.
Sixes hit in Maxwell’s over
Robin Uthappa hit three lofty sixes in the 13th over of Glenn Maxwell during this innings. Uthappa sent the second and third balls of that over deep-midwicket into the stands. At the same time, on the last ball of the over, Uthappa hit a six in the same area. A total of 19 runs came in Maxwell’s over, in which 18 runs came from Uthappa’s bat.
Amazing partnership with Shivam Dubey
Shivam Dubey also played great support of Uthappa. Both the players shared a brilliant partnership of 165 runs in 74 balls. Shivam Dubey played an unbeaten inning of 95 runs off 46 balls. During this, Dubey hit 8 sixes and 5 fours. Thanks to the brilliant innings of these two, CSK scored 216 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.
Uthappa was sold for 2 crores in IPL 2022
During the mega auction of IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings bought Robin Uthappa for Rs 2 crore. During IPL 2021, this right-handed batsman made a significant contribution to Chennai’s title win by playing some brilliant innings.
